VOICES OF HOPE: Dialogue, justice & paths to peace - A conversation with two activists from Gaza and West Jerusalem

  • 1 min read

Two speakers from the opposite side of the conflict come together to share their personal experiences and perspectives on the realities of Israel and Palestine.

Rooted in their lived experiences, their exchange addresses questions of conflict, power, historical narratives, and the ongoing search for justice, dignity, as well as a peaceful and just coexistence.

Their deep personal connection and shared commitment to mutual respect stand in contrast to polarization and dehumanization. Instead, they represent a group of individuals who advocate for critical dialogue, accountability, and reconciliation as essential components of any sustainable and just peace.

Both are active in international dialogue initiatives such as Solutions Not Sides.

In their work with young people—particularly in schools—they challenge simplified narratives and encourage participants to engage with complexity, question assumptions, and reflect on their own positions.

By doing this, they create a space for open, critical, and empathetic exchange, where participants are not only invited to listen, but also to engage with difficult questions around responsibility, solidarity, and the role of civil society in times of conflict.

Due to concerns for the personal safety of our speakers, we refrain from publishing their names and faces online and kindly ask for registration to the event via email. REGISTRATION PER EMAIL: bichl@kreisky-forum.org
