No Other Land is a documentary directed by a Palestinian-Israeli collective: Basel Adra, Hamdan Ballal, Yuval Abraham, and Rachel Szor.
Through their work, the filmmakers explore themes of resistance and resilience, reflecting on the injustices of occupation and ethnic cleansing.
This co-production between Palestine and Norway represents the debut directorial effort of all four creators, who bring their activist perspectives into a deeply thoughtful and nuanced
The film had its world premiere on February 16, 2024, in the Panorama section of the 74th Berlin International Film Festival. It won the Panorama Audience Award for Best Documentary and the Berlinale Documentary Film Award.
In December 2024, No Other Land was also shortlisted for the 97th Academy Awards in the Best Documentary Feature category.
No Other Land has been celebrated internationally, receiving numerous prestigious accolades including the European Film Award for Best Documentary, the New York Film Critics Circle Award for Best Documentary of the Year, the Los Angeles Film Critics Association Award for Best Documentary of the Year, the Gotham Award for Best Documentary, the Publikumspreis at CPH:DOX and IDFA, and the IDA Award for Beste Regie, along with many other awards that reflect its global impact and critical acclaim.
